McDonald's Launch Minecraft Happy Meals

Still not considered a square meal, despite looking rather more blocky.
In a cross-promotion timed with the upcoming Minecraft Movie, McDonald's is launching a comprehensive gaming-themed meal series that bridges virtual worlds with fast-food dining. Beginning April 1st, the campaign introduces two special meal options: a Minecraft Movie Meal for adults and a Minecraft Movie Happy Meal targeting younger fans.

The Minecraft Movie Meal offers customers a choice between a Big Mac or 10-piece Chicken McNuggets, accompanied by medium fries, a drink, and a collectible item. A notable culinary addition is the limited-edition Nether Flame Sauce, featuring a complex flavour profile of crushed red pepper, cayenne, garlic, and subtle sweetness.

For younger audiences, the Happy Meal includes 12 film-inspired figurines and Block World toys. Each meal comes with a scannable code enabling an exclusive digital game experience on www.happymeal.com, allowing players to complete a quest within the Minecraft Movie universe.

The promotion features six unique collectibles that creatively blend McDonald's iconography with Minecraft aesthetics, including items like the Big Mac Crystal, Birdie Wings, Fry Helmet, Grimace Egg, Soda Potion, and Zombie Hamburglar. Each collectible includes a matching card and a code to unlock a corresponding exclusive skin in the Minecraft Marketplace.

Digital engagement extends further through the McDonald's App, where meal purchases unlock a complimentary McDonald's Add-On pack in Minecraft. This pack introduces McDonaldland characters, specialized builds, and unique gameplay tools.
Fans can participate in this promotional event at McDonald's restaurants nationwide starting April 1st, with availability limited to current supplies.
