Amazon Prime Gaming Offers 23 Free Games in April, Including Mafia III and Minecraft Legends for Xbox

Just in case you needed some more games for your "to-play" stack.

Amazon has unveiled its April 2025 lineup for Prime Gaming, featuring 23 complimentary titles that subscribers can claim throughout the month. The standout offerings include Mafia III: Definitive Edition, Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain, and Minecraft Legends – with the latter being available on both PC and Xbox platforms.

Prime Gaming, included as part of an Amazon Prime subscription, differs from services like PlayStation Plus and Xbox Game Pass by providing games that remain in subscribers' libraries permanently. Unlike competitors, where access is contingent on maintaining a subscription, Prime Gaming issues redeemable codes for various digital storefronts, allowing players to keep their claimed titles even if they cancel their Amazon Prime membership.

This month's collection features a diverse range of genres and classics. Mafia III: Definitive Edition delivers an immersive crime narrative set in the fictional New Bordeaux, while Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain brings back the vampire-themed action-adventure that launched the Legacy of Kain series. Indie enthusiasts can look forward to titles like Berserk Boy and Genesis Noir.

Following March's dual-platform release of Wolfenstein: The Old Blood, April continues the trend with Minecraft Legends available for both PC and Xbox users. This strategy spin-off of the popular Minecraft franchise offers a different experience from the traditional building gameplay, focusing instead on leading allies in battles to protect settlements.

The games will be released in batches throughout April, with the first set already available and subsequent releases scheduled for April 10, 17, and 24. Many titles from March's selection remain available for a limited time, including Mafia II: Definitive Edition, Saints Row: The Third Remastered, and BioShock Infinite Complete Edition.

Games can be redeemed across multiple platforms, including GOG, Epic Games Store, Amazon Games App, Microsoft Store, and Legacy Games, depending on the specific title.

For PC and Xbox gamers looking to expand their libraries without additional cost, Prime Gaming's April offerings represent substantial value, particularly for those interested in experiencing both modern releases and revitalized classics. Check out the Prime Gaming website for all of the details.

Stay tuned for May's lineup announcement, which typically arrives in late April, and don't forget to claim your preferred titles before they rotate out.
